7th & 8th Grade Jazz Band 7th & 8th grade jazz band will meet before school once a week. I plan on holding this class on Thursday mornings at 7:00am. Students will receive practice chart time for the rehearsal (10 points). We will play in 4 concerts throughout the year. Please indicate below if your child would like to participate and return to me asap (by this Friday, September 26, 2014). The first two rehearsals will be open to all saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drum-set, piano, electric guitar and bass players.
Please note: ALL drum-set, piano, electric guitar and bass players must be able to read the music. Although playing by ear is important, reading the music is necessary to be successful in the group.
If any of the sections are too large, we will have auditions during the third rehearsal (10/16/14). I will do everything I can to include as many students as possible.
